Pretty Moon

Pretty Moon shine your light on me
Take the gloom edge off my window
For allegedly, you’re my friend
And I believe in you
Til the end of the earth
Won’t you shine down your mirth
Into this dark and lonely place
Pretty Moon say a prayer for me
For I’m not sure where I’m going
And I fail to see what’s right here
Though I’m trying hard
It’s not clear I belong
In the midst of this throng
Help me find some breathing space
Pretty Moon play your tricks for me
Right now I’m game for anything
Cast a silky glow on my head
Lead me far away
From the dread of the blue
Won’t you wash me anew
In your light of supple grace
